Welcome to the Saracens RFC World War I project website.

This is where the story begins. Or more accurately, the untold story. The story which, 100 years on, needs to be unearthed, researched and shared out of respect for these men pictured above and their many team-mates at our rugby club. The story of the lives of Saracens players who fought in the First World War.

The Club has a proud tradition, dating back to our foundation in 1876 in North London.  We have set ourselves the goal of uncovering & recording, for the first time, the history of those Saracens Club members that fought and died in the Great War.

It is our intention to pay tribute to our fellow Saracens players who lost their lives in the conflict by creating a Roll of Honour at the Club, which we hope will serve as a permanent and appropriate reminder of their sacrifice.

With your help, the Club can achieve its goal…..please get involved with this project, which can only succeed with the help, input and support from the greater ‘Saracens Family’ across the UK and around the world.
